Bengaluru glamour girl Raagini has been chosen for Sudeep`s Kempe Gowda, a remake of the Kollywood movie Singam.
Earlier Mumbai based model Anchal Sabharwal was selected to play the heroine of this film, but now Raagini has replaced the original choice.
Incidentally, Raagini was the heroine Veera Madakari directed by Sudeep. The film became a hit, but some how Raagini was not able to act with Sudeep later.
Kempe Gowda producer Shankare Gowda said that since the whole unit was working under pressure to complete the film within November 15, a Kannada speaking heroine could be the best choice. “We thought that Anchal should have been prompted for dialogues and her inexperience may also take a longer time to complete the shoot. However, we would like to have Anchal in some other film,” said Shankare Gowda.
