A Mumbai tabloid has reported that Kamal Haasan is getting his magnum opus Viswaroopam ready for competing at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival opening mid May.
The tabloid quotes Kamal saying, “At the moment, I can`t discuss my plans for Cannes because we`re really trying hard to complete the film on time. But yes, the Cannes film festival is keen on having Viswaroopam. I am in constant touch with Christian Jeune from the Festival. She`s keeping a track of our progress.”
Kamal says he is trying his best to complete Viswaroopam which he is directing by March 15. The Cannes Film Festival seems to have altered its rule and has extended the deadline to accommodate Viswaroopam in its competitive section.
Vishwaroopam written and directed by Kamal features Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah, Samrat Chakrabarti, Jaideep Ahlawat, Zarina Waheb and others. It has music by Shankar- Ehsaan-Loy and is produced by PVP Cinemas.
If Viswaroopam makes it to the competitive section at the world`s premier film festival in Cannes, it will be another feather on Kamal`s hat
