Prince William: ‘I Hope I’m Not Too Nervous’

On the eve of his nuptials to Kate Middleton, Prince William made a surprise public appearance Thursday night with his brother Prince Harry.

The casually dressed pair emerged from Clarence House, the royal residence in London, to banter with the stunned crowd who had gathered behind barriers.

Asked how he was feeling, William, 28, said, “I hope I’m not too nervous tomorrow.”

He also thanked everyone and reminded them, “Make sure you wave at Charles and Camilla.”

Harry, 26, who’ll be the best man, seemed even more relaxed. Noting the people sleeping outside the residence in a tent in the hopes of getting royal sightings, Harry joked, “I’m sleeping out here tonight.”

He added, “The atmosphere is fantastic. That’s why we came out. In there we can hear it.”

Meanwhile, at The Goring Hotel, where Middleton, 29, is staying, guests gathered for a family dinner while the bride-to-be appeared to be battling butterflies.

“She looked gorgeous, but she definitely looked a bit nervous,” says a source. “She seemed to have the wedding jitters but she seemed so excited. Of course she would be.”
