Just over a year after Traffic created some sort of a sensation in Malayalam, director Rajesh Pillai will soon direct the Tamil version of it.
In fact, the 111th day celebrations of the film was marked by legendary actor Kamal Haasan’s presence, when he announced that his participation in the Tamil remake.
But he got busy with his ongoing production Viswaroopam and now, the Tamil Traffic will have Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Prasanna, Radhika Sarath Kumar and Remya Nambeeshan in the lead roles. The grapevine has it that Prithviraj may also be part of the film.
Rajesh Pillai was in fact busy with the Hindi version of Traffic, produced by Endemol, but the shooting will commence only after he completes the Tamil project, which is being produced by Listin Stephen and Radhika Sarath Kumar.
The director is also planning to shoot a Malayalam film, scripted by Urumi fame Shanker Ramakrishnan.
