Director Milan Lutharia, after having a success with The Dirty Picture, is now back to the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.
The film which will see Akshay Kumar as the main lead was supposed to rope in Shahid Kapoor as its second lead. While Shahid’s ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was supposed to the role of Mandakini, she is now said to have opted out of the film.
While some speculate that Kareena opted out due to Shahid being part of the project some claim that the main reasons is because of the uncertainties in the film.
Kareena who just knew that she will be playing the role of Mandakini, the dates were not fixed and the project is getting delayed due to varied reasons. Also it is reported that since the Wedding of Kareena with Saif Ali Khan is soon to happen, she does not want to get all worked up with many projects in her hand.
It is also reported that Ileana D Cruz, the southeren hottie who is making her Bollywood debut with Barfee alsongside Ranbir Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra, might be roped in to play the role of Mandakini and is also said to have bagged teh female lead in Khiladi 786 oppsite Akshay Kumar.
