Sarath Kumar and action seems inseparable. The actor, who has made a name for himself being part of action-packed ventures, has come out with a movie that is racy from the first frame. Ad man –turned – director Dinesh Kumar has tried to showcase Sarath Kumar as a ‘desi’ James Bond, who romances and fights hard (jumps from sky-scrapers, dives from helicopters, bashes group of baddies and shoots distant targets at ease).

A different film, different co-stars and a different plot.

Director Vincent Selvah and Sundar C have combined to render a racy and an action-packed entertainer with ‘Perumal’. The movie on drug mafia begins on a brisk note, which takes twists and turns only to end on a predictable fare with nothing much to rejoice for film-buffs. It is a thriller which had the potential to become an engrossing flick. Unfortunately, the screenplay and the sequence of events belies the expectations.

Vikatan talkies’ Siva Manasula Sakthi is a youthful entertainer. Dealing with the mutation of friendship that buds and blossoms into love, the film has captured some enjoyable niceties in the process.

Call it breath-taking, stunning or out-of-the-world. Any amount of appreciation would fit well for this film. Bala, considered the maverick director of Tamil cinema believes in quality rather than quantity and has come up with a film that spells both charm as well as fear on you.
