The makers of ‘Sagar, Alias Jacky, Reloaded’ had made it a point during the production days of the movie  that this  is neither a sequel to the original big hit of the eighties, nor  they are trying to take any of its subject matter to round up as a movie.

Bharya, Swantham Suhruthu is a tale of disloyalty, betrayal and redemption that splutters and smokes, but never really catches fire.

Another insipid, asinine attempt at film making, Srinivasan’s new flick ‘Katha, Samvidhanam :Kunchaakkoo’ is a test of patience for the few who already have their outing to see a family movie. The big gap that director Haridas Keshavan had in churning out regular flicks seems to have taken away his skill in narrating a somewhat promising storyline effectively. The pointless piece of work which is not sure of what it needs to deliver struggles from flat build-ups and conventional style of making.

It took around six years for director Sibi Malayil’s Ayirathil Oruvan to reach the theatres and no wonder, the movie looks a tad and ancient for the times. Worse still, it narrates the age-old story of a brother losing his grip, trying to repay the debts that he had to shoulder, on his own. Similar themes have been told far more effectively on screen earlier. Remember T.P.Balagopalan MA?

The theme of a don who lives in a den in an island and forms a group to train kidnapped children into criminals for doing anti-social elements for person benefits is already told in the yesteryear super hit film ‘Rakshasudu’.
