What a sensational opening for 2 Harihar Nagar! It is just two days since the film released in 65 screens in Kerala where it is doing extraordinary business.

At Thiruvananthapuram Sreepadmanabha, for every show nearly 1000 people are going back without getting a ticket! There is heavy police security all around in East Fort where the theatre is situated, as it is also a favourite election rally center.

At Kozhikode Radha, the audiences started queuing up for 11am noon show on Friday (April 3) at 8 am, which has not happened in recent times. At Chalakudy Akkara, they have started advance booking for the first time for the film!

In Ernakulam at Shenoys, the opening five days all shows have been sold out in advance. The pressure for tickets is so big that they are planning to screen the film at a second screen, Padma from Sunday (April 5)!

When contacted the producer, distributor and director of the film Lal said: “ I’m on top of the world! 18 years after In Harihar Nagar released, its sequel 2 Harihar Nagar has not only been able to attract today’s youth audiences, they are going ga-ga over it.”

As per trade sources the film which had a 25 percent family audiences on day one of its release is going to be a blockbuster. It has alreadybecome the hot favourite among the family audiences (Women & Children) and may become one of the few films whose sequel have become bigger hit than the original. Lal Salaam!
