The four crazy friends of that rollicking comedy In Harihar Nagar are back after 18 years to celebrate a marriage in the sequel titled 2 Harihar Nagar.

The original was a milestone comedy riot in Malayalam film history and now the sequel is almost complete and is getting ready for release during summer 2009.

Says director Lal, who had directed the earlier version with Siddique before the duo decided to split: “They have become older but their basic instincts and characters remains the same. The four-member gang of Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Siddique), Thomaskutty (Asokan) and Appukkuttan (Jagadeesh) had run into trouble when they were trying to woo their beautiful neighbour. Now, they all return to Harihar Nagar for Thomaskutty’s marriage”.
