Last week producer, distributor and director Lal (of the one time hit duo Siddique Lal ), completed 2 Harihar Nagar on the Kovalam beach.

18 years after Siddique Lal’s Harihar Nagar, Lal is doing the sequel to it alone. The famous duo split some 10 years back, with Siddique taking up direction individually and Lal getting into film production.

2 Harihar Nagar has all the characters who did the first part- Mukesh, Siddique, Asokhan and Jagadish. Lakshmi Rai is now playing heroine in the film.

The highlight of the sequel is going to be a re-mix of the super hit song in the original- Ekantha Chandrike, tuned by Lal’s brother the hit music director Alex Paul.

Remember the song was picturised on the same characters- Thomas Kutty, Appukuttan, Mahadevan and Govindankutty who were there in the original. The only new character is Maya (Lakshmi Rai), whom all the four men now married and in their late 40’s have flipped for!
